do nxt - CxO & Founder

The idea behind do nxt, giving artists and cultural entrepreneurs a platform to market themselves in return for a monthly contribution or 'subscription fee', started while working on 1ofa100. Problems with production by the artist on the marketplace all originated from an income problem. Most needed a full time job to pay for their daily bread. This caused massive production delays compromising the marketplace. The idea behind do nxt was therefore to provide a way to crowdfund a steady monthly income.

After a great start (reaching > 1000 cultural entrepreneurs after being only a few months in business), the platform was able to generate monthly funding for a number of artists. Unfortunately the concept didn't prove to be self-sustainable financially therefore we decided to terminate it after failed attempts to reposition it as a not for profit initiative.
